Architectural Salvage and Deconstruction
Call on ReSource for Architectural Salvage Services
We can carefully remove reusable materials from a building before it is demolished. The materials are then added to our inventory for others to purchase and use again. "Soft stripping," as it is known, is an important part of the deconstruction process and crucial in assuring that materials can be reused once removed. Non-structural remodel preparation, deck and flooring removal, and other small- to medium-sized projects can be completed by our crew. And, as always, materials that end up in our inventory result in you receiving a tax deduction.
A way for us to continue our mission of waste diversion AND remain competitive in the market, architectural salvage is a valuable service.

The Skinny on Deconstruction
Deconstruction is the systematic dismantling of part or all of a building. Instead of the entire structure going to a landfill, reusable and recyclable materials are removed first. In addition to significantly reducing waste, choosing deconstruction can earn your project up to 8 Green Points (City of Boulder only), and if you donate the salvaged materials to a non-profit like ReSource, your tax deduction will offset the cost making the process comparable to the cost of demolition.
We are concentrating our deconstruction efforts on non-structural material removal (doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, solar panels, etc.) as opposed to "whole house" deconstruction as we have done in the past.
If you’re a builder or demolition company that’s interested in expanding your services to include deconstruction, we can help get you started.
