| David BartosDavid Bartos received his B.A. from CU Boulder in 1985, graduating with honors as a student of sociology. He has since enjoyed a range of professions, including waiter, computer programmer, cook, social worker with the homeless, tennis coach, academic tutor and GED coach. David got his first construction job 22 years ago, starting as a laborer, and refined his skills over the years in order to understand all aspects of construction so he could eventually build a house himself (hopefully not all by himself) from the ground up. David founded his own construction company in '95 as a contractor / carpenter, with a focus on green building. Recently, with a cold wind blowing through his profession, he has realized that working harder for less isn't the answer. He now seeks to simplify and to help others learn basic skills to be able to build themselves anything from a simple chicken coop to an attached heat-generating greenhouse. | |
